About this event

Members of the Jewish community are invited to volunteer for our annual JCRC Mitzvah Corps: Habitat for Humanity Project. This project provides us with an important opportunity to help our neighbors have safe housing.

We will know the site location and our specific task/s as we get closer to the day of the project. This information will be confirmed to all registered participants a few days in advance.

Some important facts:

  • Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to participate.
  • All volunteers need to complete a waiver (fill out, print and bring with you the day of the program). Indicate "Jewish Federation" as the group volunteering.
  • Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity provides all the necessary tools to perform any volunteer job. Come dressed for the weather, and wear shoes with closed toes and heels. (No sandals or flip-flops.)
  • Our projects are often indoors, so please expect to wear a mask for the duration of the project.
  • The Jewish Federation will bring water and snacks, but you are also welcome to bring your own.

Please pre-register so that we will know how many people to expect for the project; an accurate count of registrants allows Habitat for Humanity to know how many jobs we will be able to complete.

Contact Roberta S. Clark, Executive Director, Jewish Federation, with any questions (roberta@jfedokc.org or 286-1488).
